How to mine for new players
Get a pickaxe. Click on the pickaxe and then the rock you want to mine. You will either start swinging your pickaxe at the rock or you will see a message that says something like, "You need level X mining to mine this rock".
If you are around level 50 mining and want to gain levels fast, mine iron ore and drop it.This is very effective because you can get iron in 1 hit and it is 35 XP for each one you get. I personally go to the Dwarven mines to power mine because there are two iron rocks right next to each other and not many people come to power mine these.
